During the summer of Happy Gilmore 2, Subway leaned into the nostalgia—rolling out our teaser posts, hyping the Happy Gilmore meal, dropping merch, and closing with a hole-in-one giveaway: a custom (and delicious) sandwich cover for your sand wedge.

We breadcrumbed this one hard—and may have sacrificed the production phone to that swing—plenty of good guesses in the comments, but no one truly clocked what we were really up to with the pending giveaway.

We closed out the summer with the freshest cover your clubs could ask for—because who wouldn’t want a sandwich on their sand wedge? Sure, most people don’t think to cover this club, but we did… mainly because it sounds like sandwich, and frankly, that makes it the best club in the bag.
